Rabih Mroué performs a work-in-progress of his latest project, The Pixelated Revolution, a lecture-performance investigating the role, literally and philosophically, of the mobile phone in the recent Syrian Revolution. Using the lens of Dogme 95 (10 rules of film making created to establish a level playing field and more honest approach to cinema), he examines the phone, its photography and the international distribution of images and information through it to present his personal interpretation of this phenomenon.

The Pixelated Revolution is a commission of the Spalding Gray Award consortium including Performance Space 122, Walker Arts Center, Warhol Musem and On the Boards.
