Paul Budraitis uses fervid, multilayer storytelling, quasi-standup comedy, and a highly physical aesthetic to create an intimate connection with the audience in (IN)STABILITY. Directed by Sean Ryan with sound design by Ollie Glatzer and light design by L.B. Morse, this performance has been developed over the course of a year to critical and audience acclaim at venues such as Annex Theater, 12 Minutes Max, Solo Performance Festival and the NW New Works Festival.
Budraitis is a Seattle-based performer, writer and director. In the late 90’s Budraitis worked extensively with the Degenerate Art Ensemble before moving to Lithuania on a Fulbright Scholarship, where he would later go on to direct contemporary theater for 7 years. In Seattle he has recently worked with Balagan Theater, Rough Play and Cornish College. Ryan is a dancer and director whose past works include Allen Johnson’s Another You and the west coast premiere of Sarah Kane’s Crave.
