David Schmader | We All Can See Your Lips Move
In We Can All See Your Lips Move, writer/performer David Schmader does what he always does: stands around onstage talking about himself. But mysterious forces are working against him, causing the first-person narrative to fray and fragment. The result is a shape-shifting solo theater piece about honesty, comedy, and solo theater pieces. David Schmader is a writer and performer who’s been living and working in Seattle since 1991. His solo plays include Letter to Axl and Straight. In 2012, he premiered a new work commissioned by Seattle’s Richard Hugo House, the solo play A Short-Term Solution to a Long-Term Problem.

Coleman Pester // Tectonic Marrow Society | Three Perspectives in One Space
Choreographer Coleman Pester examines the body as literal architecture, using the interactions of two dancers (Shannon Stewart and Victoria Jacobs) with a gigantic sculpture designed by Seattle-based architect Cameron Irwin. The resulting dance plays with the influence physical structures can exert on personal psychology. Pester creates work in Seattle and New York and is the founder of the multi-disciplinary Tectonic Marrow Project.

Portland’s reigning theater champions put together a celebration of coaches, teams, and everyday heroes. Combining the bravado of Muhammad Ali and the gravitas of Vince Lombardi with the unique skills of Hand2Mouth’s veteran performers, PEP TALKcreates an art/sport atmosphere that inspires audiences to reflect on the past, cheer on the present, and step from passive observers to active participants. Hand2Mouth is a permanent ensemble of performers, directors, and designers who have been working together since 2000 to create new and original performance.

Molly Sides | I Once Was My Father
In I Once Was My Father, dancer Molly Sides tackles the rawness and overwhelming isolation one can feel when someone close begins to lose their memory. With no past and no future, how does one view the present? Incorporating video installation and a mixture of ethereal elements, Sides invites the audience to become part of her partially-obscured world. Molly Sides is a Seattle based sound, movement and film artist who has performed with many Seattle artists. She currently curates pop-up performance event Trigger.
