Dance Magazine's most recent issue covers 6 emerging choreographers who are on the verge of "making waves in the larger dance world." At the top of that list is Kyle Abraham.

The Seattle Times reprinted an article, "Merce Cunningham Dance Company prepares for its final bow," from the New York Times this past weekend about the last tour of company. Its a great read about the artist's legacy and what's happening in the company as they prepare for their last performances.

The Saturday performance of Catherine Cabeen and Co.'s Into the Void is SOLD OUT. We do a waiting list for any sold out shows. Tonight’s opening of Catherine Cabeen’s Into the Void is her first opportunity to showcase her own ideas in an evening length performance.  Don’t assume though that what you will see is a freshman effort.  Her resume is long and varied and some would say crowned with her time with Martha Graham Dance Company.  She is very much a multi-disciplinary producer with dance being only a part of her of vision.

Catherine Cabeen has been busy in the months leading up to this weekend’s world premiere of Into the Void and has a smaller piece happening across town in The Variety Show. Make your Friday or Saturday a Catherine Cabeen double feature by hitting up Into the Void at 8pm and then moving over to ACT for the 10pm performance. Here’s a special offer from Spectrum:
