To witness Ezra Dickinson’s newest performance is to be invited into the birthing room, to be led by the hand behind the white curtain to witness raw emergence and then, after one birth, a rebirth, and another, and another.

Dudes, there are some heavy themes in Ezra Dickinson’s Psychic Radio Star - mental illness, police violence, alienation, the struggle that defines life, reincarnation. Instead of discussing these, I’ll talk about the themes of revealing and concealing, and the unseen unsettling forces that shape our actions - namely, the people included by choice or circumstance in our lives.

This project is a result o fa discussion about influences of film on our personalities and reality - specifically from the perspectives of an artist/creator. Mariano Pensotti works in fiction but yet part of his subtext realizes moments of real lives - for example, using the split stage in his work Cineastas. Our question became: How do the fictions we encounter as an audience influence or impact our reality?

Ambassador Theresa Crim partnered with Seattle-based creative director Strath Shepard to pull together a playlist for the OtB lobby during GERMINAL. The list consists of 52 songs - a song for each week of a calendar year, "each song represents a different aspect of building or destroying or transcending a civilization."
