Au Collective is a group of dance artists of color, women artists, and queer artists. As a whole they are dedicated to highlighting the varying voices and perspectives of all the artists in the collective, aiming to create dance art that crosses barriers of race, sex, and class. The new dance work created for the Festival takes inspiration from fictional stories created by members of the collective, which become modern mythological tales of animals, superhumans, and other creatures.

Au Collective performs on the mainstage in the first weekend of the Festival.
