Keeping the Faith Oct 13, 2010

Keeping the Faith is Pat’s 15+ year educational program that the NY Times once called “one of the nation’s most innovative programs for inmates.” It includes both The Prison Project and Transitions. From Pat’s site:

Keeping the Faith–The Prison Project (non-religious) is an arts-based educational residency program designed to enable incarcerated women and girls to discover a sense of identity and to develop that identity within the context of community—through the vehicles of performance, video documentation and a published anthology of their writings.

Keeping the Faith–Transitions picks up where KTF–The Prison Project left off—helping women to make that important transition to their communities and to reunite with their children and families.

Outside of the US, the revolutionary program has been conducted in countries such as Japan, Brazil, Germany and Ireland.
