Last weekend Dayna Hanson performed a work-in-progress showing of Gloria's Cause at PICA's TBA Festival. The showing offered festival attendees the chance to glimpse at a piece before its finished, when ideas are still percolating and not yet completed. Some writers have already begun to weigh in about the performance. Jeremy Barker offered praise for what the piece was offering in his write-ups for The SunBreak and Culturebot. Claudia La Rocco, NY Times journalist, had more critiques in her blog for Portland Magazine. She offered OtB's artistic director, Lane Czaplinski, the chance to respond and you can read his thoughts here.

Dayna and her outstanding cast (seriously - have you seen the list?) are now en route back to Seattle and will spend the next 2 1/2 months digesting the feedback they're receiving and going back into the studio to dig back into the piece. We're thrilled to see where they go and are already looking forward to the December premiere.
