This season, an Ambassador Writers Corps* Member will write a profile on each of the nine local artists in 16/17. These in-depth conversations between local artists and local writers will take the place of curatorial notes in the performance programs.

Ryan Vinson (sketch lightly) is a performer, musician, and poet. In addition to solo work, he also performs as one-half of the hip hop duo Said the Starling.

Evan Flory-Barnes is an upright bass player and composer based in Seattle. Flory-Barnes is known for both solo and ensemble work as well as playing with the Seattle jazz (and more) group Industrial Revelation. 

Dani Tirrell is a dancer/choreographer and founder and Artistic Director of Dani Tirrell Dance Theater/Color Lines Dance Ensemble. A teacher as well, he currently teaches Modern, House and Vogue throughout the Seattle area. Audiences may have seen some of Tirrell's extrememly personal dance/theater/film work dealing with themes of black queer identity in Seattle and the USA.
