2014 Festival Artists: Helena Theatre Company Jun 12, 2014
by Erin
The Helena Theatre Company was founded in the early 1990’s and has produced plays for over 20 years as the in-house professional theater of the Myrna Loy Center. The company is made of Montana artists. Their hallmark as artists is that live integrating full-time work with long-commitment to the theater and to performance. The Helena Theater Company produces contemporary theater work and often collaborates with the Myrna Loy to bring theater artists from the Northwest to Helena. A recent memorable production was August:Osage County directed by NWNW’s own Sean Ryan.
Their 2014 Festival piece was written by Ed Noonan, who has had extensive experience in the politics of art/granting cycles in the USA in his decade serving as Executive Director of the Myrna Loy Center.
